First of the month. A new month.
A renewed desire to create, apart from the desire to fall back in love with movies again. Monday was American Psycho, followed by about half of Super Troopers (I blame the DVD) and some deleted scenes from Jay and Silent Bob. Tuesday was Old Boy (one of my favorites), and tonight? Transformers (FAR from my favorites).
As I went through these cinematic experiences over the past three days, I’ve begun to notice that I enjoy different experiences. I love it when people bring new things and share it with me. New bands, new video games… new ways to think.
And it’s this exact desire for newness that plagues me. In an effort to stay agile (not Agile agile), I kept bouncing from idea to idea for HanMeta. Actually, when I started HanMeta, I wanted the ability to create multiple projects. This must be why I focused so much on the process at the beginning, since as soon as the process of developing an application was fixed and nailed to the wall, everything else would be cake.
I still hold that belief, but this time, I hope to grow processes from actually needing them, much more so than forcing myself to use it because other people have. Organic growth is not as clean as I would like it to be, but at least it’s growth. Ah, the sweet balance of prescient architecture and natural progression…
Preparation for the coming months
I returned the Kindle. Although I probably read more fiction than I read since 11th grade, I could not justify the cost at this point in time. I’m also on the verge of selling the 360, since I haven’t really played it for a while.
All leading into basically… the lengthening of the runway. The deadline is whenever my lease ends here, which is the first week of August. From now, until then, I must do. More on this, later.
3 words:
THE. WEST. WING!!!
That is all.
P.S. Ugh. intense debate also doesn't like 2-character names
I'm so sorry that it doesn't do two characters… but I never see you
using a two character username. I guess the two you might use were
taken on Twitter?
Uh.. All of my comments on your blog were as "JS" until I decided I wanted to track them.
And yeah. The reason I don't use it more are 1) Many places don't allow 2-character names 2) It's already taken at places that do
I guess JS wasn't taken on my blog just yet. I'm sorry for making you
?
type a tiny bit more.
Now, can we drop this, specifically on the blog (I'm okay with talking
about the state of usernames in other cases… but I've talked to you
about it on the blog before…
I like Intense Debate so far… It feels like a lighter version of DIsqus.
Hey hey now.
I wasn't making a point of it or baiting you to respond to it. Just noting it since we have talked about it several times and since you have changed the commenting system several times. It's just something I try and make note of each time. It wasn't even the body of my comment, just a side note.
Tee hee. I'm playing, as always.
I'm just having a ball, replying and threading through email. Man,
this is great.
