Purely aesthetic reasoning, or?
Would love to understand – why did feed ads get the axe first? I would think that feed ads would be the least obtrusive of the bunch – but you got rid of them first… why?
Moving towards something else, or are you just giving up trying to monetize the site?
No, it was more than a purely design choice.
I realized that I lost sight of what I wanted from the site. I definitely made a small bit of money from ads in various ways, but I’m ready to go in another direction.
I got of the feed ads first because feed subscribers tend to be friends and the type to not click on ads in the first place, while the random google traffic comes through the website.
Yeah, more on this as time allows.
