Who Am I?
My name is Josh Kim. I was born in Seoul, South Korea. I lived there until I was 9, and moved to the States. All my life, I feel like I’ve moved, multiple times in Korea (Seoul to Taegu to Kimchun) as well as in the US (Philadelphia to Charlotte to Los Angeles to Cincinnati to Urbana, IL, where I am now). I got my B.S. in Computer Engineering at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2006.
What Is This Blog About?
At some point in my life, I became interested in computers, then the Internet. Now, I have a blog to talk about all sorts of things I obsess about (points to tag cloud). Mostly, it has to do with technology and web development, with a lot of other interesting topics that comes up from time to time.
What Do I Do Now?
Currently, I work full time at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) as a Research Programmer in the Administration Department. When the jobs come, I freelance on the side. In 2007, I created a company called HanMeta, LLC, of which I am a co-founder with a couple of friends, developing with the mindset: “Massive Success or Bust.” It’s going to make one heck of a T-shirt.
